Effective governance requires making sure everyone receives training appropriate to their roles. This helps everyone work together and be better-informed on their role in ensuring the company’s policies are followed.
Antibribery, Ethics, and Code of Conduct training
All colleagues other than short-term contractors are enrolled onto our Anti-bribery, Ethics & Code of Conduct training each year. This course has an interactive set of Q&As which reinforce the details of our policies and covers a variety of topics including:
- Bribery
- Gifts, hospitality, and entertainment
- Use of marketing development funds
- Sales incentive programmes
- Conflicts of interest
- Use of sales intermediaries
- Offshore payments
- Charitable donations
- Incident reporting
Overdue colleagues are chased to completion. The last level of escalation for non-completion is referral to the group’s CFO.
Training for specific groups
Additional training is provided to specific user groups appropriate to their roles.
New hire training
New hires are required to take the following training:
- Code of Conduct and Ethics
- Data Protection in Marketing
- Data Quality
- Export Compliance
- Quarterly induction session (which includes Data Protection, Export, and Antibribery/Corruption)
- Sales incentives
Security training
We provide six information security training modules and six phishing simulations per calendar year to all employees, and we make training available to contractors with access to our network or systems.
We also provide targeted training sessions and internal communication campaigns around pertinent threats.
As of July 2023, 80% of employees completed cybersecurity training across online security features, avoiding phishing attacks, and data protection.
