Security comes first for customers
Cloud security is a huge concern for customers. The stakes are high, and a single misstep can have serious consequences for both reputation and operations.
That’s why partners’ roles have become more critical than ever. Customers are depending on them to be trusted advisors, bringing the tools and specialised knowledge to succeed in cloud, safely.
But what makes a partner the right choice for security-conscious customers?
We asked partners what matters most to their customers when choosing a partner, and 72% said cloud security services.
Customers know that without solid security in place, even the best skills and tailored solutions won’t deliver lasting value.

To better support their customers, partners must focus on their most pressing security concerns. So, we asked:
Which cybersecurity measures would you say are the most critical for your customer’s cloud solutions?
The results uncovered three priorities:
Data privacy and protection
Security of cloud interfaces
Identity access management
To tackle these priorities, partners need to understand the Shared Responsibility Model for cloud security. This model defines that:

The cloud provider should handle security ‘of’ the cloud (i.e., the software, infrastructure, and the physical security of their environment)

Customers (or partners on their behalf) are responsible for security ‘in’ the cloud. This includes protecting their data, managing user access, configuring firewalls, and securing their networks
With this knowledge, partners can tailor their services to help customers focus on what’s within their control and responsibility. Not only does this cover key security measures, but it adds real, relevant value to a partner’s services.

Partner perspective
"Cybersecurity has become a critical area for us, and we're taking more and more proactive measures to improve security, demonstrate ROI, and build and maintain trust with our customers."
